Introduction:

Ederny Quarry is situated in the townland of Aghaleague, about 1km south of Ederny (Fig. 28).

Ederny Quarry contains a major Caledonian fault with evidence that it was reactivated during the Variscan Orogeny. There are also a number of minor folds attributable to Variscan deformation.
