Summary of site:

North of Greenan Mountain, on the eastern spur of Tappaghan Mountain, fuchsite (a white mica) has been found in a stream incising schists of the Mullaghcarn Formation of the ancient Dalradian rocks. The mineral is rich in chromium, an element of economic importance.
