Summary of site:

On the west bank of the Faughan River in this area there are small terraces of cobble gravels and pebbly sands in trough, channel and flat depositional forms. They are no more than 1.5m thick and appear to have been spread into the valley bottom by water from a melting glacier retreating to the south. Erosion has reduced them to the present remnants.
