Summary of site:

Prod's Pot was the first discovered of the only two known entrances into the Prod's Pot – Cascades Rising system. It is fully described in the system overview (Key Site 1155) where its significance is best appreciated.

Cavers excavated the shake hole, in which the shaft was located, in June 1970. The link through to the Cascades Rising system was only established in 1976, following years of sump diving by a dedicated team. Since then, only minor extensions have been found.
