Description: Very small, reputedly parasitic, growing on Palmaria palmata. Forming patches or cushions no more tham 3 mm in diameter.
Habitat: Very rare. Epiphytic on Palmaria palmata.
Distribution: Very few scattered records from: England, Ireland, Wales and the Shetlands. Europe: Atlantic coast of France, Norway, Spitzbergen and Iceland. Greenland. Atlantic coast of North America: Canada, Maine and New Hampshire.
