Cladophora lehmanniana (Lindenberg) Kützing


Description: Thallus filamentous and branched to 9 cms long. Branches often falcate.

Habitat: Rock pools of the lower littoral and sublittoral.

Distribution: Rarely recorded from the British Isles, mainly southern England. Europe: Mediterranean, Portugal, Atlantic coasts of Spain and France and Germany. Further afield: Australia.

Similar Species: Most species of Cladophora are similar and difficult to identify, may be under-recorded.
