Description: Minute filaments bearing erect branches creeping on other algae or between the cells, as tufts on Ascophyllum.

Habitat: Rare. Epiphytic in the littoral.

Distribution: Few records around the British Isle, Ireland, England, Wales and the Shetlands. Europe: France.
