Rhodymenia ardissonei J Feldmann


Description: Thallus flat, branches dichotomously three times or more to a length of over 5 cms. The flat fronds spread, branches with pointed apices which taper and reattach to the substrate.

Habitat: Rare. Sublittoral to 40 m.

Distribution: Around the coasts of the British Isles: England south-west coast, Wales, occasional records from Scotland and around most of Ireland except the east coast from Co.Louth and Wicklow. Europe: Mediterranean,
