Description: Very small thin and pale-coloured crustose alga.
Habitat: Common on shells and maerl in the shallow sublittoral to 5 m.
Distribution: Rare, but widely distributed and in the British Isles including the Shetlands. Europe: Mediterramean, Spain and France.
Similar Species: Very similar to Cruoria pellita and Halarchnion ligulatum, the differences are microscopic.
