Description: Small encrusting thallus to 1 cm in diameter, flat and thin. Conceptacles raised.
Habitat: Generally littoral and quite common. Epiphytic on other littoral algae, rarely epilithic.
Distribution: Throughout the British Isles: England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and the Channel Islands. Europe: France (Brittany) to Norway.
