Description: Minute and semi-endophytic, only visible externally as sessile conceptacles.
Habitat: Semi-endophytic in Haliptilon and Jania in the lower and upper sublittoral.
Distribution: South-west Ireland and England from Cornwall and Dorset and the Channel Islands, but also recorded from Wales and Scotland. Europe: Mediterranean, Portugal, Atlantic coasts of Spain and France, generally widespread. Further afield: Canary Islands, Australia, California.
