Description: Very small, one to three erect uniseriate filaments, axes to 0.2 mm.
Habitat: Very rare. Epiphytic on Porphyra in the midlittoral.
Distribution: No records outside Britain: Cornwall, Devon, Northumberland in England; Bute in Scotland and in south-west Wales.
Similar Species: All species of Acrochaetium are similar. Microscopic examination required for identification.
