Habitat: Generally found in mollusc shells, sublittoral.
Distribution: Widespread on the coast of the British Isles. Europe: Denmark, France, Netherlands, the Baltic, Norway and Iceland. Greenland. Atlantic coast of North America: Canada. Further afield: the Pacific coast of Canada.
