Habitat: Endozoic in marine Littorina in the periostracumand the calcareous parts of the firm shell surface. Mid to low littoral

Distribution: British Isles: has been found on all shores examined where there is Littorina. Europe: Spain, France, Netherlands, Baltic and Norway. Atlantic coast of North America: Canada, Maine and Massachusetts.

Similar Species: Microscopic examination required for identification.
