Description: Small erect and gelatinous thalli to 5 mm long, easily squashed. Axis consisting of elongate-cylindrical cells with radiating filaments packed together.

Habitat: Rare. Epiphytic on various alga in the lower littoral and shallow sublittoral.

Distribution: Few records from Britain and Ireland. Europe: Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and Norway. Further afield: the Canary Islands.
