Description: Thallus microscopic, a monostromatic disc up to a few mm in diameter with radiating filaments.
Habitat: Epiphytic in cultures of Griffithsia flosculosum and various other sublittoral algae.
Distribution: Isle of Man, Isle of Wight and Co. Galway. Europe: Mediterranean, France, Netherlands, Denmark. Atlantic coast of North America: Canada and the U.S.A. Further afield: the Canary Islands, West Indies and Japan.
