Chondracanthus teedei (Mertens ex Roth) Kützing


Description: Grows from a small discoid holdfast up to 30 cms long. Flattened and up to 5 mm broad with small pinnate branches.

Habitat: Very rare. Epilithic on sheltered shores in the upper sublittoral to 6m.

Distribution: South-west distribution in Britain and Ireland. Europe: the Mediterranean, Azores, Portugal, Spain and France.
