Description: Encrusting, lobed with free margins, lobes up to 3 cms in diameter, convoluted with secondary lobes, overgrowing itself in parts. Concentric markings.
Habitat: Usually epiphytic on Corallina. Mid-littoral and sublittoral to 8 m.
Distribution: Widespread in the British Isles on western coasts. Europe: Mediterranean and the Netherlands. Further afield: Mauritania and the Canary Islands.
