Description: Thallus calcareous, attached by stolons. Fronds articulated and branched to 20 cms long.
Habitat: Generally epiphytic in the upper sublittoral to 3m deep.
Distribution: South-west British Isles from Ireland, England, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. Europe: Mediterranean, Azores, Portugal, Atlantic coasts of Spain and France. Further afield: Canary Isles.
Similar Species: Species of Corallina.
