Meredithia microphylla

Description: Frond grows from a discoid holdfast to 8 cms long and 5 cms wide with a small stipe. The broad cartilaginous blades are concave and may become lobed.

Habitat: Epilithic in the sublittoral to 15 m deep.

Distribution: Western distribution in the British Isles on the coasts of south-west England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland . Europe: the Mediterranean, Azores, Portugal, Spain and France. Further afield: Canary Islands.
