Description: Very small uniseriate filaments, erect axes rising from prostrate disk to no more than 1 mm high, virtually unbranched.
Habitat: Very rare. Epiphytic on other algae in the lower littoral and upper sublittoral.
Distribution: British Isles: Ireland, England and Wales (Puffin Island, Anglesey). Europe: Faeroes.
Similar Species: All species of Acrochaetium are similar and microscopic examination is required for identification.
