Description: Thallus in tufts, erect to 8 cm, branches terete without a distinct main axis. All axes with 10 - 12 pericentral cells and ecorticate. Cystocarps ovoid.
Habitat: Very rare. Epilithic and epiphytic in deep pools at very low littoral.
Distribution: Recorded in the British Isles only from Dorset. Europe: Mediterranean and France. Further afield: the Canary Islands.
